The only non conservative things I’ve seen is some apparent pay to play deals and his related vaccine fiasco. On my scorecard, his positives outweigh his negatives and if he were the candidate in the general election I could vote for him without holding my nose. I haven’t been able to do that since 1984. I’m not sure he’s the best we have to offer yet so I’m not commiting to anyone for at least several months.

I don't hold the vaccine issue against him. I agree with you that every President since Reagan ranged from lousy (Both George Bushes) to Horrible (Clinton/Obama.) In any case, the number one thing Perry has going for him is he is not a Northeastern Rockefeller type. I would have to hear some pretty bad stuff before I would look for another candidate.
