What basically passes for country today is nothing more than what we called “Soft Rock” in the 70s.
I couldn’t agree more! I can’t stand what they pass off as “Country” these days...and popular music is even worse.
You either cannot understand what they are singing or in the case of rap, you don’t want to understand it.
As I am a silver citizen my fear is that I will live another 10 or 15 years and this kind of “music” will become the golden oldies on my local stations. Oy vey!
