It’s a dilly of a pickle of a problem.

We cant just militarize it per Posse Comitatus.
Tx cant afford to cover 1250 mi of border, and even when we try, the feds file suit on us.

We would all be better off if DC just stayed the **** out of states rights.

Then folks could wring their hands about those lawless bastards down in Texas.

Yup. But we could just ignore it, after all, Obama gets to pick and choose ;) Kidding!

Personally I’m all for the fence with all the high tech goodies like ground penetrating sonar for tunnel detection. When you look at the cost compared to what Obama spends on terrorist support, it’s miniscule..

And such a fence (a REAL one, not some 4 foot chain link yard fence) is a 99.9% effective method to stop the flow, the drugs and the cross border violence (until the Zetas start lobbing mortars.) But as you said, it all goes back to Washington and as I said, their ‘laws of men.

We have to elect people who will stop catering to the special interests. The EPA/BLM are one big problem on our side with their wilderness area/spotted snarfblat BS stopping construction and driving costs into orbit.

I would suggest (after eliminating all alphabets but the FBI/CIA) that our next President (Palin/Perry/whoever) make the obvious to us statement that border issues are a matter of national security, place the Border Patrol under the Dept. of Defense and THAT skirts Posse Comatatus legally and legitimately. BP would get no further ‘power’ but the full ability to do their job without interference from the special interest mob.
