Is Paul Krugman involved in this somehow?
Krugman said we needed an alien invasion to stimulate the economy. So... logically, this means we should produce all the global warming we can as rapidly as possible to encourage war with the Awful Green Things from Outer Space, thus saving our economy and validating Krugman's Nobel Prize!
