Conversely, the existence of significant genetic variation in the mutational process, at any hierarchical level, does not rule out the possibility that the mutation rate is optimized, but it obviously argues against the existence of a globally conserved optimal mutation rate. Ascertaining the causes of genetic variation would require further investigation. Here, we report results after ≈200 generations of MA. What a hoot these libtards are! LOL
