Thanks for the information regarding Rick Perry and his statements and actions as Texas governor regarding Mexico and (illegal) Mexican immigrants. I would like to see/hear the Governor questioned on some of these statements/actions and hear his response, which would offer a broader insight into his thinking on these issues and others. I’m sure that will happen as the campaign unfolds. Meanwhile, any information from Texans and Texas-based political organizations can be useful to non-Texans seeking to gain a better understanding of where Rick Perry stands, based on his words and actions as governor. At this point, I’m mildly hopeful about Perry but still highly skeptical, considering past Republican politicians that appeared to be solid conservatives but turned out to be little more than RINOs that were only conservative on a few (important) issues. I realize that compromise is a factor in politics but after the Obama devastation, we can’t tolerate any more lukewarm ‘conservatives’.

You’re welcome. Everyone has to make up their own mind and the more information out there the better.

My thing is, I believe this is another 1980 and we can elect a real red meat conservative again. I’m in no mood to settle again after Bush and Obama.
