Remember the Crown Heights riots in Brooklyn from 25 years ago?
The Mayor, David (spit) Dinkins refused to send in the NYPD, saying he would let the riot “Burn itself out”. Dinkins and the Democrats were gone six months later.
I always refer to that riot as a pogram! It is burned into my brain - one of the worst events in modern NYC history.
