it’s just a bad practice to discuss politics at work. you never know who you may hack off.
If you work at a university all you can really do is keep your mouth shut. If you just can’t stand being around Marxists I would suggest finding a job in the private sector or finding a job at a college like Hillsdale College.
Jon stress can cause health problems. Normal job stress is bad enough but adding political BS goes further than I will tolerate. I changed professions. Life’s too short to work with a$$hole liberals.
The best way to deal with this problem is to make it public.

I left a pretty nice job at a very good private school once because they wanted the faculty to sign off on abortions for minors without parental notification. They “didn’t invite me” to a number of meetings but expected me to sign off on it. I told them to stick it. I liked the kids, the faculty were commie aholes all the way through. Wasn’t worth the gut grinding. They passed it without me. I tried to make some noise, but it was in the state of Massivetwoshits and they all thought it was just fine.
I keep a radio on my desk tuned to Rush and Hannity all the time. It acts like a force field to them, they just don’t walk into my office.
“Lifes too short to work with a$$hole liberals.”....
Well said!.....I agree!
I listen to Rush every morning. Fortunately, the rest of the staff is in another large work area. I have a door into my work area that stays closed. They are all in cubicles and hear every damn conversation and phone call of each other. Most of them have ear phones.
I would wait until somebody initiated the topic and reply truthfully, as in
“How much did you give to the obama reelection committee?”.
“That communist?, I wouldn't give him a penny, but I gave another $100 to Sarahpac”.
Watching your liberal moonbat head explode - priceless.
Now sit back and wait to get fired & then sue the HELL out of them for trampling your First Amendment rights, (not that I'm in favor of frivolous lawsuits, but in this case, no problem).
Let the company and your liberal colleagues know that you are donating half your newly gotten money to Conservative causes.
No need for this much inefficient thought process.
Just quit.
Easy.

Get an “Overturn Wickard v Filburn” bumper sticker.
Agree, and the author infers way too much non-violent, verbal arguments into such disagreements. Be prepared for keying of your car, flat tires, work sabotage, set ups like the noose posted on a door, etc. This is war and the Democrats play for keeps and can rationalize any actions.
Yup. politics and religion.
If you have to deal with liberals, my favorite techniques are 1. Laugh at them. This is like sunlight on a vampire.
2. Expose their basic premises. Once they know that you understand them down to their fundamental ideas they will not want to argue with you.
Great slogan, though!
Even the most ardent of Leftists tend to adhere to a somewhat Conservative worldview in his or her personal life. There are very, very, very, VERY few Lefties that are so whacked out that they refuse to raise their children the way that Canadian couple is raising theirs. You know the one I'm talking about. The ones who are not raising their child as either a boy or girl. They're just letting it decide for itself what it wants to be.
Keep your antenna tuned. They will offer insights into their lives where you can agree with them. Just agree and leave it at that.
On top of everything, stay friendly. And happy. They hate happy.
That means you can drive around with it right under their noses, knowing they're too ignorant of their own history to get it.
The 2% that do get it probably won't say anything, because then they'll have to explain Wickard v Filburn to the ones that don't get it.
We have 9 people in my office cubicle, and Im the only conservative. This is the Seattle area, so that is about the correct percentage. A couple of them are far far left in their politics, and I use to have to listen to them badmouth Bush or during the election, Palin. Thankfully we can listen to the radio with earphones, so my day now consist of Beck, then Rush, followed by Medved. Makes the day go by fast, and I dont have to get angry over their idiotic conversations.
