I think the AAA downgrade is going to make him a target in his own party. His BC can now be used to make him step aside.
It all depends on his poll numbers. If they continue to slide—as all factors indicate they will—the Dems will be frantic for a way to ease him out w’out infuriating the black base. They are not the party of loyalty or rectitude, but the party of win at all costs. When Barry becomes a clear loser they will do some wild things to salvage their chances in ‘12. It’s about to get very interesting.
