These are people like my very intelligent mother, a life-long Republican, who watches CNN all day, reads Newsweek & the Nation & thinks she is getting balanced news from multiple sources. She won’t watch Fox, as it’s been demonized by these sources. She thinks all Republicans are ‘horrible’ & because Obama is/was an academic, it means he’s very smart & knows what he’s doing. I still can’t convince her he’s a socialist. Her response is ‘everyone knows that system of gov’t doesn’t work.’

It’s hard to believe, but there it is.

In my many years on God's green and not to mention cooling earth, I have never been contacted by a pollster. My guess is that these are the people who get their news from Star magazine and find Dancing with the Stars intellectually stimulating.
