It will not be enough to simply beat Obama in 2012 and take the White House. It will be necessary to totally crush Obama and achieve super-majority in the House with at least a simple majority in the Senate.

The presidential candidate who can best achieve this trifecta is Sarah Palin.

If this were not so, the Left would not be so deathly afraid of her. If Sarah Palin could not win the presidency, then the Left would pay her no attention at all. In fact, they would welcome her candidacy as it would surely result in an easy Obama victory!

But no, this is not the case. Instead, the Left is in an absolute frenzy to destroy this woman because they fear what she will do once she gains the GOP nomination. And mark my words, the GOP nomination is hers to lose.

Once she announces her candidacy (my guess is just before or just after the Labor Day weekend), you will see a level of excitement not seen since the 1980 campaign when the Ronald Reagan campaign started to catch fire.

Not saying Sarah Palin is the equal of Ronald Reagan but surely she is the best candidate the GOP has fielded SINCE Ronald Reagan.

So enjoy the rest of August. Sit by the beach and sip margaritas by the pool. Catch up on some reading. For when September comes, Sarah Palin is going to rock your world and turn it upside down.

Totally agree! And - when we have both houses, it's time for a joint resolution that reminds the Judiciary that their proper role is restricted to ruling based on the words of the Act/Article/Amendment under consideration, interpreted according to their meaning at the time of its enactment. Anything beyond that is a usurpation of the role of the Legislature.

Such a Resolution should include a list of previous decisions that violate this principal with a statement that these are not to be used as precedent in any further decisions. (An example would be all those that rely upon a "wall of separation between church and state" - I admire Jefferson as much as any former President, but his private correspondence does not overrule the clear language of the Constitution!)

Finally, it should close with the following: "Much as we wish that the Constitution had foreseen the problem of Judicial overreach and provided us with a gentler means of removing erring Judges from the bench, the only tool given us is Impeachment. That being the case, Impeachment is the tool we will use to enforce the primacy of the Congress in enacting legislation."

If we don't clean out the ranks of the Judiciary, all that we accomplish can be undone.
