Here is the relevant portion of the interview:

Greta: "I'm sort of curious whether the american people will not sort of take a bow, those who are tea party activists, and go back to their lives which are very busy and very full and they're worried about their own lives, or whether they are going to take this victory and move on, I don't know."

Palin: "I think that we shall take this victory and make sure that our politicians in office today are learning from this victory, realising that it's not a 100% pure genuine victory, because realise, greta, we just handed the most liberal president, I believe in US history, a 2.4 trillion dollar debt increase, we are allowing him to increase the budget even more, and without without guaranteed cuts and without guaranteed reforms and we have to make sure that we realize that yes, this is a victory because tea party patriots did shift the debate however there is so much more work to do in order to get the economy back on the right track and to restore the exceptionalism that is America.

It is clear that Greta believes the Tea Party should "take a bow" because of the bill that was just signed. And she wonders whether they will now GO HOME. Sarah clearly says there's a lot more work to be done. But she does NOT dispute that we just had a victory.

I don't think Sarah Palin is that hard to understand, but it never ceases to amaze me how many interpretations people here have for what she says.

She hasn't said whether she thinks we could have won a bigger victory by rejecting the bill, so you are right about that. We'll eventually know -- if she calls for primaries against "tea party" house members who voted for the bill, that would indicate she didn't support voting yes for the bill. But she didn't say anything in this interview to suggests she disagrees with the decision they made to vote for the bill, or against the bill.

She simply says that tonight conservatives should consider this a victory, not a defeat. Since we can't re-live the night with a rejection of the bill, we'll never know if she would have considered voting the bill down a victory or not.

One thing is clear -- she doesn't believe conservatives should feel shafted, or that we lost, or were screwed over by the results -- she says we "WILL TAKE THIS VICTORY" and build on it.

I don't expect to see Palin attacking West and Ryan like some people here.

It's hard not to like all three. They are three of the best conservatives we have.

I saw the interview. Greta called it a victory. To infer from Sarah’s response that she considers it the same kind of victory that Greta did is just wrong and she clarified it..but none if you seem willing to admit that.

“Victory” was Greta’s choice of words.

There was no victory of any kind for the tea party or for America in this “deal.” It’s a total farce and business as usual for the ruling class. McConnell is an idiot. Wants to share power with the dems. And Boehner is an idiot for pushing this as a spending cut. There is NO spending cut in this deal. Not one damned cent. The borrowing kicks in immediately and any promised cuts are pushed years into the future where they’ll never materialize. The so-called super congress is totally unconstitutional. It in fact neuters our fledgling tea party caucus by needlessly and recklessly ceding undue power over the budget and borrowing to the senate, dems, RINOS and the Marxist OBAMA! And the unconstitutional triggers are absolutely disastrous!!

It’s taxation without representation!!

Time to party like it’s 1773!!

C’mon people, we’ve been through this before. It’s standard operating procedure for the ruling class. They have no intention of EVER cutting this unconstitutional government!! And that’s why the tea party was born and that’s why we must redouble our efforts!!

The weak-kneed sissies in our midst should quit apologizing for these big spending, big government idiots! It simply encourages more of the same!!

BOOT THEM OUT IN 2012!!
