Sarah Palin: Quite appalling to be called a terrorist by Vice President

Posted by on Aug 1, 2011

Sarah Palin said that though Tea Party members are used to being labeled as racists and inciters of violence, she found it especially appalling that the second in command of the most powerful office in the world would say that Tea Party members are acting like terrorists.

Regarding the debt limit deal, she went on to say that while it is a victory to change the debate toward talking about the debt, there is much more work to be done. She does acknowledge that the debt limit deal is a step in the right direction but she doesn’t like giving what she believes may be the most liberal President in US history another 2 trillion dollars that we don’t have with no major reforms:

Right. Just more of the same ol’, same ol’. Spending, borrowing, and making down payments for future expenses. We’re never going to get out of this hole Washington has dug us in to, and yet they expect to punish taxpayers for the mess they themselves created. Anyone who didn’t think there were going to be tax increases got PLAYED today. PLAYED. Just like the Obamacare fiasco. Some people never learn.

Some of Palin's words:

"We shall take this victory and make sure that our politicians in office today are learning from this victory, realizing it's not a 100% pure genuine victory."

And:

Yes, this is a victory because the Tea Party patriots did shift the debate however there's so much more to do.

Also she says referring to the bill:

"It's a step in the right direction and yet still I'm not celebrating as a pure 100% victory the actions that have been taken."

I misprepresented nothing. I am not a blog pimp...I never even saw this site before...I am not a propogandist...I've quoted Palin's words.

does acknowledge that the debt limit deal is a step in the right direction

That is a lot more positive spin on the bill than those that have been trashing Allen West for the past few days.

Nobody likes the bill, but Palin says the bill is "a step in the right direction", not "a step in the wrong direction" like some others.

That also suggests she would have supported voting FOR this bill, since it is "a step in the right direction", even though clearly she, and many others, would have wanted to take MORE steps in the right direction.

One of the things I like about Sarah is that she seems to understand taking what you can get, and then coming back to fight for more tomorrow.

I’m not sure I trust Politico’s take on what she said either. I’d prefer to see the actual transcript.

Those comments are uncalled for, Jim.

I have quoted Palin directly.

She does not like the bill 100% but she did use the word victory a couple of times in connection with it. Read the quotes...watch the video.

I don’t think anyone is trashing West. He panicked and took the Socialist route on this bill after he got demonized in the press by Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz.

One thing she didn’t say — that we should primary those who voted for this bill.

I like what she said. I have found that there are several responses when Palin says things people don’t like; attacking those who report it, saying she didn’t mean it, saying they misinterpreted it, or saying that she was forced into it. I think one thread had all 4 of those the day she endorsed McCain for the Senate.

The only “victory” for the tea party was that we got a lot of action and a lot of press and we scared the crap out of the business as usual establishment crowd. And we reminded them all that we’ll be coming down on them like a load of bricks right up to election day and then we’re going to take a whole bunch more of the constitution hating, big spending, big taxing, big borrowing socialists, progressives, liberals, RINOs and turncoats out! This was just a skirmish in the battle ahead!

Rebellion is brewing!!

I can see 2012 from my house!!

RINOs and turncoats take heed!! Get with the government cutting program or get the hell OUT!!

Yep.

And, additionally, the borrowed money will have to be paid back, with interest, by the taxpayers.

“It was never about the debt, it’s about raising taxes on everyone.”

I wish that was all it was about. I think it is principally a way to reduce the whole of Congress down to a dozen corrupt insiders, and be done with this inconvenience of representative government. Like the EU, the Fed, and the UN, Congress will be governed by a small shadow government of spectacularly corrupt and vile elitists. Just watch. The Constitution was murdered like Caesar this very day.

The Vice President is crazy so I wouldn’t worry about it, Gov. Palin.

From your list...#1 & #3 are certainly evident on this thread.
