Isn't "pigweed" the stuff that has corrosive sap, that will blind you if it gets into your eyes? It's the "Xenomorph" of the plant kingdom!

No; pigweed is a different, unrelated plant altogether. Pigweed is in the amaranth family...Hippie "grains".

What you're thinking of is "hogweed" and/or "giant hogweed", two similar, closely related plants: one is big (4-6' tall); the other is bigger (6-9" tall). They're members of the 'carrot family', with very nasty sap.

I think you mean Giant Hogweed.That's significantly different from the glyphosate-resistant pigweed strain, which, according to Wikipedia, is edible. Probably tastes nasty, though.
