...finding it hard to get out and meet people other than her co-work...”

Have her check out Second Baptist Church. Great singles groups that do lots of stuff not necessarily related to church. There are some sailboating, canoeing and skiing groups available - several in the Clear Lake area. Group names sometimes listed in Leisure Learning class schedules. Also several single golf groups that play all over the area most every weekend.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think she'll be checking out Second Baptist (someone else mentioned to me, also) and a couple of other churches. I'd like her to try some volunteer work, too, but she's working on her MBA at night, so I know she doesn't have a lot of time.

She'll get it together. I'm just the mom who still worries sometimes.

Have her check out Second Baptist Church....

Ahh, yes, the BaptiDome. Even if she is atheist, she will fit right in. Plenty of eligible singles, very few actually care about Christianity, and they do know how to have fun. Some of the best times I had on ski trips, Guadalupe river outings, C&W dancing etc.

“Have her check out Second Baptist Church”

Yup. You beat me to it. Many, many singles in Second Baptist Church of Houston.

The singles Bible studies groups are extremely active. One of them went sky diving a few years ago, for instance.

The fastest way to make hundreds of friends in Texas is to join a Bible study group and hang out with them. It is a very old Texas tradition and you can end up with several hundred friends on the first Sunday.
