Oh boy! Let me tell you! If I wasn’t married, and if Sarah Palin wasn’t married, well......she’d probably still walk by without noticing me. Sigh.....
Yes, and no matter how gloomy the scenario seems to be, he can always find a remedy and remains positive. He certainly was exhuberant yesterday with his praise for we Tea Party supporters!
Actually, she has just the right qualities for humans to identify with. She has consistently maintained that there is no leader of the Tea Party, and that it should remain that way. That is the kind of leadership we need in Washington. Someone who has a servant’s heart...someone who considers themselves part of the wave, as opposed to riding the wave.
Run Sarah, Run!!!
Rush is not always right. In fact, with regard to Palin, he’s been at best tepid—up to now. Don’t know what triggered his seeming support for Palin. Perhaps it was Boehner’s miserable budget performance over what should have been a political slam dunk.
But glad to have him aboard—at last.
He’s also wrong about a third party potential. If the GOP continues to be the RINO Party it will be simply an arm of the demrat party. In other words, there is no national opposition party to the demrats. That vacuum will be filled one way or the other. It’s axiomatic.
I swear we are getting closer and closer to CWII...the rats will not rest until we are all serfs, imprisoned or DEAD!
Perhaps you misunderstand what a Spartacus Moment is. It is the exact reverse of identifying ourselves with any one human being. It is the identification of one human being with an idea that far transcends that one person.
For Spartacus and company, freedom was the one glorious idea that bound them all together as one, an idea so powerful they would pay any price to hang on to it. Under the leadership of one man, that idea took on full human expression. To identify with Spartacus was not to lower oneself to admiration of a mere mortal, but to raise ones self in undying loyalty to an immortal idea being well-lived by that one mortal.
So it is with Sarah. It is the idea she embodies that has brought on the ire of the Alynskiites, who have tried desperately to isolate, freeze, and take her down. She is scarred but not destroyed, and that is a miracle. It is also a sign that the idea she represents, both in word and deed, is stronger than all the forces arrayed against it, that the hunger for freedom is as powerful now as it was in the days of Spartacus, that no coterie of international thugs can take our freedom from us if we reject the premise of our own destruction, and choose to stand against them.
So, for me, when one by one we stand and proclaim, I am Sarah Palin, we are telling our enemies, to their face, bring it on, do your worst, but in the end, liberty will stand, and you will fall, because freedom is too big to fail.
I am Sarah Palin!
I am Sarah Palin.
Very powerful. Thank you.
I am definitely feeling 3rd party coming on. A friend of mine ran for and won a state house seat in North Carolina running as an independent (first time this ever happened in the state, I believe). I know Rush feels this will ensure the re-election of Obama. Maybe it will. But our problem seems AS MUCH TO DO WITH GOP leadership as it does in fighting liberalmania. AS Rush says, “We need to win more elections.” If enough conservatives are elected so that we control both houses, we can wrest control of the party agenda—and begin to dismantle goliath.
One more thing that happens if we take both houses (with conservatives) is Obama becomes the Zero that, deep down inside, he really is. He won’t get anything done that can further damage this country, only watch as Congress saves it from his socialist agenda. He will be reduced to spending all of his time vetoing/trying to veto bill after bill (won’t that look like he can “reach across the aisle”). He will become the tinny voice like the voice in Rush’s satirical pieces that says nothing, does nothing, is nothing. He will become the very thing that so many of us saw him as when he ran in ‘08—an affirmative action, no resume, no credentials, know-nothing who is capable of little more than an occasional shake-down.
Yes, nicely stated.
Ditto from a dittohead... I am Sarah Palin.
I have never heard Rush push someone like he has Palin, he just doesn't do it every week, or even every 2 or 3 weeks, but he does do it.
That is a good. On the other hand, for those who understand, and can articulate, the ideas of liberty, one might also conclude that an army of individuals repeating and circulating the essential principles of their liberty among their peers throughout America may prove to be more powerful than would allowing the enemies of freedom to paint them with the same brush, they have attempted to do to the brave and courageous Sarah Palin. Let's face it: many who are not in the "choir" will be influenced by the image the media creates of one individual or identifiable group (TEA partiers). Millions of individuals, however, unidentified except for the strength of their ideas, may be harder to smear.
Thomas Jefferson, author of our Declaration of Independence, asserted that the Declaration was a reflection of what he called "the American mind" of 1776. The writings and speeches of that period agree. How can one read the great sermons of the Revolutionary period, or the newspapers and speeches without realizing that Jefferson simply reflected ideas which already had taken hold in the minds and hearts of his fellow Americans?
Millions of Americans, rediscovering the ideas of 1776 and 1787, can and should take it upon themselves to be active participants in the battle of ideas which will determine the future of America.
One may or may not wish to go under the banner of another, but all should engage in the fight. Future generations deserve no less.
In examining questions before us today, the following may be helpful:
"1. Does this legislation or idea increase, or decrease, individual freedom and creativity?
"2. Does this legislation or idea increase, or decrease, the power of some citizens over other citizens?
"3. Does this legislation or idea recognize that the persons who will exercise the power are themselves imperfect human beings?
"4. Does this legislation or idea recognize that government is incapable of creating wealth?
"5. Does this legislation or idea authorize taking from some what belongs to them, and giving it to others to whom it does not belong?
If 'thou shalt not steal' is a valid commandment, can we assume that it is meant to apply only to individuals and not to government (which is made up of individuals), even if those persons in power pass laws which sanction such redistribution of the wealth of others?'
"6. Does this legislation or idea encourage, or discourage, the very highest level of morality and responsibility from the individual?
. . .when government makes actions 'legal' by some citizens at the expense of other citizens, the result may be behavior which would not be considered possible by individuals acting alone.
"7. Does this legislation or idea propose that the 'government' do something which the individual cannot do without committing a crime?"**
**7 principles drawn from James R. Evans book, "America's Choice, Twilight's Last Gleaming or Dawn's Early Light?" and reprinted in a Stedman (Asheboro, NC) booklet entitled "I'm Only One, What Can I Do?"
Again, thank you for your explanation of the "Spartacus" concept.
I too support Sarah. I believe she stands for the things and ideas that I hold dear. I sincerely hope she runs for and wins the Presidency.
But even if all that comes to pass it will not magically make America whole again. Instead, it will drive the liberal Alinskyites (sp?) underground to continue nibbling at the foundations until the get another opportunity to rule over us. Lest any of us forget — the vitriol, the hate, the violence they espouse will only simmer underground and when they and their ideas once again see the light of day it will burst forth to consume us and our way of life.
If we truly intend to make this country safe for our children and grandchildren we must first win the next election then steel our hearts and adopt Bill Clinton’s Rules of Engagement. It is not a pleasant thing to consider but I see no other way to ensure the survival of freedom on this earth.
I hope Americans do better against Obama than than Leonides against Xerxes, but in any case: “The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many.” We cannot allow communism or socialism to get any more of a grip on the last major bastion of freedom. We must shrink our government, and we must do it now. To fail would prompt a return to the dark ages at best. To fail even to try will probably put an end to even the memory of freedom.
Bravo. Well said.
I don’t listen everyday. But as far as I can tell he hasn’t done until now. Help anyone?
Yo MarvDav—I see the same scenario shaping up. That is, if the Marxists allow things to take their normal course. But THAT is the rub, isn’t it? I think the Marxist’s will dig deep into their bag of tricks to ensure they they occupy the WH and Senate again. 2012 will be very dirty and, perhaps, lethal.
There’s an epic battle looming and guys like Boehner have no clue. I think they really believe Onada is just another loyal American with a different agenda.
A couple of examples.
