It has become commonplace to call the tea party faction in the House “hostage takers.” Common in the sense that it has gone out on the DNC talking points instructions so everyone is using the term. I don't think it has been as obvious since the word of the day was "gravitas" for George Bush picking Dick Cheney as his running mate. Today Rush had a great set of about 20 sound clips of Dems using the word "hostage".
