Woodrow Wison’s “New Freedom” propaganda piece can be downloaded for free on Kindle.
I couldn’t read the whole thing because it was depressing and embarassing that someone with such twisted logic could not only be believed, but become the leader of the greatest nation on earth.
He goes on and on about enterprise corrupting politics, and how corrupt politics has become because of it; and his conclusion is that enterprise needs regulation. Excuse me, but I think transparency and prison is much better of a remedy for corruption than erroding the 4th and 5th Amendments guaranteeing property rights and due process.
Fast forward to today, that stuff is still more alive than ever and if you want to compete with the big guys in any kind of enterprise, you can get tagged by the political system, your business shut down and your property confiscated without so much as a hearing. And of course those abuses spread into the general public, and individuals are regulated in much the same way; hence the TSA believeing it has the right to either take nude photos of you or stick their hands down your pants before you can get on a plane.
I don’t blame you for not wanting to finish the book. It took a long time to get myself to a place to be willing to constantly read the words of these progressives.
Its even worse recording them. Worst of all is listening to it afterwards.
It’s my voice. Saying this nasty garbage.
But somebody has to do it.
And as you point out, so much of what they said then relates to today. Knowing the progressives history and how they’ve progressed america will surely be helpful in pushing back against today’s progressives.
