FTA:

The problem is not simply that the President wants to get his own way, most politicians and people want things their own way. The problem is that the President seems largely unable to work with his opponents when the chips are down.

I've long said the mark of a good Poker player is how well he plays a poor hand. Anybody can play a strong hand and look masterful, but when you get crap dealt, what do you do? Obama has a weaker hand these days, and he plays it poorly.

Also FTA:

There is an old saying that goes: “Be gracious in defeat and humble in victory.” After the Democrat victory in 2008 Barack Obama did not demonstrate the latter and since the GOP victory in 2010 he has not demonstrated the former.

Indeed. This is a President who can't resist taking victory laps every chance he gets (sometimes even after being humiliated in loss. I think it's spin). Obama doesn't understand the meanings of either "gracious" or "humble."

This person we have is a true study in mental pathology. I agree with the previous poster who said this article poses the question but does not answer it. He acts as if he had learned bitter anti-colonialism at somebody's knee.

He may play it poorly, but the GOP leadership hasn't caught on...they fold with anything less than pocket aces.
