Honestly John -- I don't know how you can do satire in today's environment. Everyone is so whacked out - that whatever you write (and I know you try to walk the edge of being just slightly outrageous - but not that much...) seems very plausible. And sometimes the very next day it gets trumped by something that is even more unbelievable.

Anyways - thanks for the articles. They are always good for a chuckle -- but like I said, its nigh near impossible to discern satire from reality nowadays...

"...the end of government as we know it,”

Why do they say that like it's a bad thing?

I have to ask: Does art imitate life, or do the Democrats get their talking points from your satires?

What’s scary John is you write it then it comes true.

If Mitch McConnell can’t do HIS job, he should be replaced. Congress should definitely NOT cede this to the President. The Republicans should stand firm against raising the debt ceiling, and hit back every time the Dems spout their lies about Soc. Sec. and Medicare.

The scariest part of this piece of satire is that it doesn't require much of a stretch of one's imagination, more of a slightly extended reach, actually, to picture each of the people 'quoted' in the article actually saying ALL of the things attributed to them.

Once again, Mr. Semmens, an excellent job!
