If Mexico had a real interest in destroying the Cartels they would admit that their Police, and military are so corrupt that they cannot be trusted and ask for the United States Military to help them clean out the drug lords.

If the United States was really interested in wiping out the Cartels we would protect and close our borders.

Neither side is willing to do either thing because of the Money. Follow the money. Both sides are corrupt. I believe our police are in the majority honest, It is our politicians who are corrupted by the Cartel money.

Agreed, if we're serious about fighting the drug war we would secure the border and eliminate a good bit of it right there.

I haven't been able to get any answers but I'm curious about how much money is being spent to fight the drug war on the Mexican side of the border vs the cost of securing the border. I suspect a secure border is far cheaper.

BINGO! I've said it again and again. NOT until the Mexican people are more tired of the bloodshed BY THE CARTELS and stop blaming their government as the cause AND stop their pacifism and disgusting resentment of all things gringo (except our money) - LIKE COLOMBIA DID 20 YEARS AGO - then it's going to get much worse before it gets better.

And I DO believe, if the idiot cartels (not if - when) start ramping up the killing of US citizens - and on our soil, they're going to wake a sleeping giant, filled with volunteer ex-Black-Ops/Special-Ops guys venturing down under to clean out the scum.
