I’ve had it with the “shared sacrifice” crap. Getting less loot stolen from fellow citizens is not a sacrifice. Need to hear somebody say it. Seems like every Republican accepts the premise that a cut in handouts is a sacrifice.
Of course, to libs, "shared sacrifice" means that everyone else sacrifices more than they do. Their elites are especially protected from having to sacrifice a thing.
Shared by whom.. most of America don’t pay any income taxes..
Taxes are not shared.. if they ever were shared..
Corporations pay ZERO taxes that are not passed on to the consumer..
Consumers pay ALL TAXES...
I saw that exchange, and the only reason I watched it was because of Laura Ingraham. True to form, she didn’t disappoint.
Matt Lauer? Why bother? He’s a weenie. Always has been, always will. (Work with someone who went to school with him.)
He’s just the kind of guy you want to pants, or give a swirlie to. And leave his head in on the bowl refill.
Shared sacrifice should mean that 47 or 48% of the population that pays no federal income tax should. And - every company I’ve ever worked with has had to downsize at least once in last 12 years. It it time for Mamma Gub’mint to downsize.
Matt Lauer's disgusting cheapshot - the video
In this video you will see Lauer show a portion of his interview with George Bush during which he asked Bush about Kanye West's declaration in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina that, "George Bush doesn't like black people." Bush responded:
"It was one of the most disgusting moments of my presidency."
End of clip, and now back at the studio; here is what Lauer looks into the camera and says:
"Here's a two-term president who ran the country during Katrina, 9/11, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the financial meltdown, and he's pointing the finger at Kanye West and that incident as the worst moment in his presidency."
See what Lauer did there? He turned Bush's phrase, "one of the most disgusting moments", into, "the worst moment", in order to paint Bush as having been more concerned about the inane rantings of a self-absorbed hip-hop artist than he was about the mass murder of 3,000 Americans, the loss of our best and brightest young people in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, and the economic mess.
Matt Lauer is a despicable little worm.
I'd like to spit right in Lauer's puffy, stinking face.
Hey Matt, next time send a man in (to take on Laura).
Saw it yesterday AM live and I loved it...
OK, so Obambi wants “shared sacrifice”. Well, when are the freeloading welfare-sucking deadbeats that make up the base of the democrat party going to start sacrificing?
