2.4 Million Fewer Jobs Since Obama's 2009 Economic Stimulus

Since Obama signed his beloved economic "stimulus" package in February 2009, the U.S. has 2.4 million fewer jobs, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. There were 141.68 million employed Americans back in 2009, and as of June 2011, that number has fallen to 139.33 million.

"When the economic stimulus - the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act - was created, Obama promised that the then-$787-billion spending package would create or save 3.5 million jobs, saying it would preserve the 'American dream' for millions of people."

Here is some of the rhetoric the President proliferated in advertising for his $1 trillion spending cesspool:

“We have begun the essential work of keeping the American dream alive in our time,” Obama said on Feb. 17, 2009 in a speech marking the signing of the stimulus bill.

“What makes this recovery plan so important is not just that it will create or save three-and-a-half million jobs over the next two years,” Obama said, “It's that we are putting Americans to work doing the work that America needs done in critical areas that have been neglected for too long - work that will bring real and lasting change for generations to come.”

June marks the 29-month anniversary of Obama's failed attempts at keeping the unemployment rate below the "8 percent" he touted back in February 2009. Remember this? "If we do not pass this economic stimulus, unemployment will rise above 8 percent." Well, the unemployment rate peaked in October 2009 at a whopping 10.1 percent, and now, it remains above 9 percent.

But, of course, this has nothing to do with Obama's economic policies, or the negative vibe he spills out to investors, entrepreneurs, business owners, and all the other job producers in this country. The White House simply "underestimated the force of the recession."

“A Recession is when your neighbor loses his job.

A Depression is when you lose your job..

And recovery is when Barak Obama loses his job.´

Democrats spent 30+ YEARS outforcing America’s jobs.
Democrats spent the 8 years of Bush, and the last two years demonizing the “Evil” job creators,

AND THEY CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHERE THE JOBS WENT???

Creation of non-wealth-producing government jobs just uses up a nation's resources.

Now is the time for syndicated writers like Williams, Sowell, et al, and conservative pundits to point out in the most graphic manner possible that government jobs are like sponges, soaking up the hard-earned dollars of productive, wealth-creating citizens in the private sector.

Too many ordinary citizens in small towns across America have overlooked how government at all levels now occupies buildings and facilities in their communities which formerly housed the offices of manufacturing plants, of wealth-creating entities. Now, they are just places where the people's earnings are wasted on high salaries, benefits, and retirement assurances for those who have hired themselves, as Jefferson said, "to rivet the chains" of government "on the necks" of their fellow citizens.

"To preserve [the] independence [of the people,] we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses, and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they now do, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account, but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers." --Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Kercheval, 1816. Lost my job at the end of last year. My unemployment ran out last month (so much for the mythical 3 years). By Obama’s tally, I’ve stopped looking for work. Except I haven’t and one of my interviews may have panned out, the decision will be made next week.

Obama’s unemployment figures have been over 10% for some time but he’s had his administration cooking the books.

Kick the bum out of office. Let him see what it’s like to be suddenly unemployed.

Remember in the mid Bush years when unemployment rate was real low the Democrats and their Media Pravda propaganda machines were squealing about the ‘recession on the horizon’ as if to speak it into existence. Well looks like they achieved their goal only bad timing for them that the Chosen One ‘Bama is reaping the foul words and desires of the Dems...many Americans are unfortunately suffering in the results too. Spoken words are powerful—like seeds.
