Welcome.

Not being an economist or financial kind of guy, I always appreciate someone's breakdown of an issue, in clear, one syllable words.

Thanx

And again ... welcome.

Keep it comin'

The whole thing was just plain wierd!

Speaker Boehner sent in a tweet. MR. DORSEY introduced the tweet and said it was from the Speaker. He immediately told Obama that there was a typo but it was not from Boener's tweet . It happened on the receiving end. Barry didn't even hear him. He set right out to point out the typo and make fun of Boehner's typing skills.

MR. DORSEY looks like he has a rod up his b*tt. He was so puffed up to be sitting next to the great Obama I thought he was going to explode!

Re: Tech vs. Manufacturing. Yes, tech jobs pay more than manufacturing jobs but, thanks to our dumbed-down education system, the US is no longer the cutting edge in technology. High-tech industries have moved to Asia, where the students learn actual science instead of how to raise their self-esteem, and I don’t see how we can realistically reverse this trend, given the incompetence of our so-called representatives. If you have a solution, I’m all ears.

Anything that creates jobs, be they tech or manufacturing, and gets people off of welfare is a good thing in my book.

>> What's happened is a lot of folks are underwater, meaning their home values went down so steeply and so rapidly that now their mortgage, the amount they owe, is a lot more than the assessed worth of their home. <<

I know it's splittin' hairs, but a wordsmith with the alleged superior intellect as our leader should know that the word his handlers needed to input into the telemprompter was appraised, not assessed.

The latter is the value of a property to use as a basis for taxation; the former is it's market value based on the current real estate conditions.

Reminds me when an ad agency was trying to hire Edith for to do a commercial. The agent said “We’re not talking minimum here.”

Archie said “Oh, no. We demand minimum.” Did the unions demand minimum wage? I thought that was Ted Kennedy.
