With Sarah as our president we may hope once again to be a nation blessed by God.
Not to mention how this “serving where you are” theme is channeling Reagan. He spent a fair number of years before he ran for office building up the nascent conservative movement, encouraging volunteerism in a diversity of vocations to make a difference. I don’t know if she’s done this intentionally, but it is striking, and it completely unplugs the notion that she’s encouraging movement conservatism as a precursor to dropping out. No, she’s doing it because she knows, as Reagan knew, no one elected official can do a job this big by themselves. We are all needed, and we will all share the credit for turning this ship around. But we still need a captain worthy of the helm, and I can think of none better than her.
