Pardon me for attempting to defuse what has become a needlessly heated discussion with a little humor. (In before someone says, “Yeah, very little.)
But it was far from a non-rebuttal. You accused me of the apparently egregious sin of erroneous conflation. I disagreed. I am not conflating the two things. As long as the mods don’t choose to pull a thread or kick the offender off the board, I would assume that there must be some sort of sliding scale relating to blog posting, promoting, pimping. Some would draw the line one place and others would draw it somewhere else.
There was a time when people could simply disagree. These days a disagreement seems to require that someone get thrown off the lifeboat.

No one wants anyone to be thrown off the site. If bloggers would comply with this one simple suggestion from the site owner, there would be no ZOTs, no Pimpbusters trying to explain, and no blog pimp whores slithering around the thread trying unsuccessfully to justify blog pimp behavior.
