If you come into my home and start smoking, which is perfectly legal, and I tell you that I prefer that you smoke outside, what would you do? You could go to either the deck, the patio, or the porch to smoke. Or you could ungraciously insist on smoking inside my home, since after all, it’s perfectly legal to smoke.

Now you, Neovatara, and newheart come into Jim Robinson’s living room, and he has stated politely that he prefers that Neoavatara and other bloggers not excerpt their own material nor lure FReepers away from Free Republic. But because it’s what you feel like doing, and of course, it’s perfectly legal, you spit in his face and do what you want.

You’re all three really crappy guests, just as if you were polluting someone’s living room with smoke, you pollute Free Republic with your blog pimping and the defense of same.

Shame on you.

Have you even read any of my posts?

BTW if I say you can't smoke in my house I have the right to show you the door. So in that sense it isn't legal so your analogy as well as your reading comprehension sucks.

Not true.

At any time, Mr. Robinson or his direct associates can tell us what we can and cannot do. It is ultimately his site, and we only have as much freedom as he is willing to give us.

If he states I am wrong, and over the bounds, I will happily accept his ruling. He, not you, is the ultimate determiner of what is acceptable.

So in fact, the analogy is you and I vising Mr. Robinson’s house, I start smoking and YOU tell me to leave, without understanding whether or not Mr. Robinson and I have and an understanding.

So I am disappointed you are upset, but that will in no way change my behavior.
