A yes vote would have legitimized the conflict because part of the bill was authorization for the conflict. Obama could have used a yes vote as authorization by congress.

Needs repeating. Too many reactionary people around here. I agree that voting no was the right thing.

The House of Representatives voted NO on authorization.
They voted YES to fund it.

What am I missing here that they are saving the Republic by continuing the war funding? A little howling that they were ignored utterly by Obama, and it’s all pockets to fund his agenda?
