Reese On the Radio takes issue (as many do) with the way God, catholics and christians are attacked by the left. NBC's recent "under God" omission for one. Reese is urging all Americans to take a stand against, what he calls, "the gay mafia"!

Thank you for your question.

I have a website and podcast that I produce every Monday to Thursday. I am trying to return to the medium that I love so dearly. Please understand, Free Republic is a forum I have a great deal of respect for and would never abuse. I would sooner remove myself from this forum, than to ever use it as a means to profit in a nefarious way.

In the past, on my WRKO show, New Republic helped me and accepted me when I was just learning about the dynamics of the news/talk format. The members of this forum gave me an education I needed desperately and benefited from. I honor and cherish that education.

If in any way my presence is not welcomed, I understand. I do not wish to use Free Republic. That would be against my better judgement and principal. Please excuse me if I gave that impression in any way. I only wished to inform those who did enjoy my show, that I am back and trying to fight the good fight. I owe them and you (This site) everything for my success in the past.

Although your reply is addressed to me, I know there are several other FReepers who will be interested in reading it. They are therefore copied on this ping.

In reading your response, the first thing that jumps out is whether you meant what you wrote here:

If you expect this forum in any way to emulate experience you had with "New Republic" then I fear you're in for a real shocker.

If that's a typo, and you are referring to this forum, then what exactly was your past experience? Did you post under a different screen name? If so, please let us know what it was, so that we can get some feel for your history.

If you are, in fact, Reese Hopkins, then you are fully aware that there's a lot of negative "stuff" out there about you. How do you address the past events, and what is your current legal status?

It's not up to me to "accept your membership." That's something for the Moderators and Jim Robinson to pass judgment on. I'm just asking questions that I'm sure are on everyone's mind.

You are a great conservative radio talk show host that many here on this site don’t remember or know you(not from the Boston or New York area)

Next time you post a link to your site please give more information and maybe some background, people don’t take kindly to blog pimps around here and your first post would definitely smell really funky to someone who hasn’t heard of you....they would do the same thing if Rush Limbaugh was a local/regional radio show and posted a vanity post “Rush on the radio has returned” - as his first post....instead of cute Reese Peanut Butter Cup pictures there would be picture post of ‘Rush’ the band.

So please don’t leave the site because of this little bump, post some comments under articles if you have interest. Post a vanity post again to your site with caution - first-put it under the chat/blogger section and not in news and second - post as much pertinent information about your site and yourself that you feel comfortable with that would portray why people would be interested in your site and listening to your show.

Also, give a shout out “Hi” to the Massachusetts message board - lots of people there remember you (choose MA as your state in your profile and click the flag to enter the state message board)

Seriously - This guy could be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but for those of us who have never heard of him (which is apparently quite a few) he needs some introduction and explanation beyond a simple "I'm Back!"

Apart from the fact that you're speaking in semi-lucid fragments, you are assuming (wrongly) that everyone knows what you and libertarian27 know about Mr. ReeseOnTheRadio. With no introduction other than "I'm back!" those of us to whom this story is a mystery will just have to be forgiven for not understanding his plight and planting a welcoming kiss on his cheek.

As I indicated in my last post, he might be the greatest guy ever. But those of us outside the sphere of WRKO didn't know anything about him.

I mean, it's kind of hard to be back, when you weren't here in the first place. We're just sitting here waiting for him to post something so we can get to know him.

If you want people to start searching out your site and your work, well ..... one thread and two comments isn't exactly an earthmoving marketing strategy.
