Through his spokesman, President Barack Obama denies any knowledge of Operation Fast and Furious. This may be the case. But Attorney General Eric Holder’s promise that the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General would investigate Gunwalker is laughably inadequate.

My understanding is the "Gunwalker" was a Bush operation, and "Fast & Furious" is an Obama operation. So, it makes sense that Holder would investigate "Gunwalker."

Obama sided with Mexico, before Fast and Furious, that the U.S. was responsible for the gun violence of the drug wars in Mexico.

Someone did an expose on the numbers from the study famously cited as evidence. The evidence cited as the percentage of guns confiscated in Mexico that came from the United States was exposed as representing a percentage ONLY from those guns that were found to be traceable, from among the thousands more confiscated (more three times as many not traceable as traceable). Even those numbers could not include the thousands that have never been confiscated in Mexico. So when not even MOST guns confiscated are in the study, have can any number proven to be traceable represent most of the guns in the theater of operations - Mexico. It can’t.

But, politically, the U.S. had already agreed - the U.S. was supplying the bulk of guns used in Mexico by the drug cartels.

Then we got Fast and Furious.

Then, our own agencies started assisting in producing the “evidence” to support the prior political claims.

That’s my theory about the motives of the higher ups - get the “traceable to the U.S.” numbers up.

That is what needs to start with BATFEces and then be applied to the entire litany of alphabet agencies. Clean house, jail the government employee criminals hiding behind "definitions" and twisted excuses and bring back at least a SHRED of common decency to the fed.gov.
