The global warming debate has always been a touchy one for both sides, and when the world’s top global warming activist is talking about the size of population and how that contributes to the choices societies make, it might be worth taking note.
In an appearance Monday in New York City, former Vice President Al Gore, prominently known for his climate change activism, took on the subject of population size and the role of society in controlling it to reduce pollution.
He offered some ideas about what might be done for females in the name of stabilizing population growth. (h/t Chris Horner via wattsupwiththat.com)
“One of the things we could do about it is to change the technologies, to put out less of this pollution, to stabilize the population, and one of the principle ways of doing that is to empower and educate girls and women,” Gore said. “You have to have ubiquitous availability of fertility management so women can choose how many children have, the spacing of the children.
“You have to lift child survival rates so that parents feel comfortable having small families and most important — you have to educate girls and empower women,” he said. “And that’s the most powerful leveraging factor, and when that happens, then the population begins to stabilize and societies begin to make better choices and more balanced choices.”
Oh that's right. This is the same algore who leads by example on issues like the environment by flying around in a private jet and living in a house that consumes $2000 worth of utilities every month.
Hey gore...if fewer people breathing is the solution, start by looking in the mirror...kill yourself and save the planet...c’mon, set an example for your followers
Al and Tipper have four living children, thus doing their part to double the world’s population in one generation. Tragically they lost a son in an accident.
How about fewer mansions, Al?
Global warming didn’t work for them, so now they try population control. This was so predictable.

...and Gore’s hypocrisy is vividly apparent on any subject he chooses to address.
Why do you think homosexuals and liberals have made such a concentrated effort to get control of schools?
They won't be influencing future generations at the dinner table!
(This is why we ABSOLUTELY must fight them for control of schooling.)
In some cultures, though, very large families are a means to expand the control and influence of that culture. Planetary survival is not their goal.
So if some cultures practice strict procreation control to minimize births and other cultures do exactly the opposite, the cautious culture will soon find that they are 1/8 of the population, then 1/10.
Go release your second chakra any way you want, Al: but --- I'm gonna type this real slow so you'll understand what I'm saying --- Leave. Me. Alone.

The more offspring, the more to carry on the memes with the genes.
When one idea has none to carry it, while the opposing idea has many to carry it, the one idea ceases to be while the opposing idea flourishes.
Survival of the fittest applies to ideas too, and some ideas just aren’t fit enough to survive.
Al Gore is divorced. He should not be giving instructions on family matters.
