I’m a bit more partial to Get Smart.

I grew up with that. Don Adams was a Marine on Guadalcanal, BTW. Knocked me down when I heard it.

He got pretty sick with a tropical disease...

I had a post I kept for a while that described the Hollywood types who served...Eddie Albert (Bronze Star with “V” at Tarawa) Don Adams, James Doohan (lost his finger on DDay) David Niven (who left the Army in 1933, but re-entered in WWII and saw combat in Europe)

Not to mention Gable, Stewart and such.

They aren’t all no-loads like Stewart and those like him.

I met Don Adams back in 1986- he came to Toronto every year to tape a sitcom for CTV and was a regular customer of the shop I worked at. Decent fellow.
