I spent five months in 1985/86 going full time to a Spanish language class. I then spent most of the next 12 years living in Latin America. I was at the 4-level when I left Cuba in 1997, and now, living in south Florida, I have no excuse for letting my ability lapse. I DO enjoy listening to them rattle on and not suspecting that I understand a lot of what they’re saying.
