Jesus is Number 1. Ayn Rand was someone who came to admit that some things were actually correct.
Libtards have no more right presenting false political choices to conservatives than queer fashion designers have in presenting false clothing choices to straight men.
I see no contradiction between believing in Christ and condemning involuntary servitude.
Because Ayn Rand does not believe in God does not mean she is incorrect when she condemns the act of being forced to surrender the fruits of your labor to those who would take what you have in order to avoid having to work to earn it on their own.
Is not a key tenet of faith free will?
No...you can value both.
I like the way you put that...
When does AVN have to make its choice between Christ and Karl Marx?
Who is John Galt?
You can be a Leftwingtard or a Christian, Jew, or other follower of God ~ but you can't be both.
I think Tony Weiner and his defenders are showing us that.
I think her economics was incredible. And i will admire her for that. I hear very few people claim to admire everything about the woman.
Face it, she experienced revolutionary communism in Russia,,, and after that wound up in NYC. The contrast had a profound effect on her, and she communicated it well. OTOH, her formative experiences also clearly damaged her emotionally.
I’ll take my chances with Rand and Galt, thank you.
Another way to put it...if you are a liberal, God does not come first, liberalism does.
Always.
God doesn’t hear the prayers of Liberals, nor do they offer any up!
Is not a key tenet of faith free will?
Yes, and she actually admitted some truth. I think many people can mistake the point of my comments. She came to conclude that many tenets valued traditionally are actually good, such as autonomy, individual rights, etc. I would actually recommend reading Atlas Shrugged to just about anyone - religious or not. It’s great to hear about why freedom is so great from someone who took a long time to finally find it.
If I had to choose between Jesus or the false teachings of this supposed Christian organization, I would pick Jesus.
I stopped reading right after that. If an organization "pushes" the liberal ideology, which is pro-depravity, pro-butchering babies and generally against all that is good, they are not to be taken seriously.
Evil is alive and well and dressed as a sheep.
Because Ayn Rand does not believe in God does not mean she is incorrect when she condemns the act of being forced to surrender the fruits of your labor to those who would take what you have in order to avoid having to work to earn it on their own.I agree with you 100%. Though I would have said "did not" instead of "does not", since she died in 1982. (Not a quibble, just a mention, since some might not know.)
Actually, Christians need to choose between Jesus and Karl Marx.
Where do these Jackasses get off giving ANYONE such a choice? They certainly cannot be Christians in any sense of the word.
Ayn Rand’s atheism is not incidental to her “men are gods” nietzsche spawned writings.
She ended up barking mad by the way.
Praise free markets and less government intervention, and throw her boring books in the garbage can.
You can get to these attitudes and philosophies without reading her spiritual poison.
