I never had a moment of concern when Governor Palin's e-mails were released and the attack dogs of the media pounced on them, expecting to find a goldmine of scandal fodder they could use to destroy Sarah Palin or at least undercut her popularity. Although Sarah Palin is certainly not above making mistakes, I long ago judged her as being authentic. That is, what you see is what you get. A Christian conservative, happily married and enjoying motherhood while working with diligence and integrity at her job as state governor. Not a a tyrant or a prima donna, just an honest, hard working woman trying to do her job, no more or less.

The media look like the buzzards they are for grasping at the Palin e-mail dump as a potential source of nourishment for their hatred of this good woman, only to come up empty. It's undeniable that Sarah Palin has been vetted about 1,000 times more than any other official or unofficial Republican candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. This gives Palin a tremendous campaign advantage. No 'October surprises'. Another reason why I continue to hope that Sarah Palin decides to run for president in 2012. That she recently quoted Thomas Payne is a favorable indication of her thinking on the issue: "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace."
