I happened to see NBC’s “investigative reporter,” Michael Isikoff last week, doing an arrival story (before he’d had a chance to dig into the email.) He was literally drooling over the prospect of finding dirt.
NBC News sent him three thousand miles for nothing. Too bad they didn’t leave him there.
Of course, when you understand that NBC just hired the ex-editor at PBS, you’ll understand why.
You should remember Isikoff from the Clinton scandals 15 years ago. Then, he was a Newsweek reporter working the Clinton gold seam, up through impeachment. I don't remember when he came to the story, but I think it was over the Paula Jones lawsuit, which as you'll recall arose out of the Troopergate scandal which was broken by The American Spectator stories written by David Brock, back when he was still a person.
