With the exception of the Lone Board member who spoke out and said that “no one was in control”, the rest are either too scared to speak out or supporting the thugs. TUSD is a mostly “Hispanic” district from what I gather. My nieces are in the Amphi district.
I grew up in Amphi. Didn't go there; parochial schools. Sisters did.
It was overwhelmingly white working class - actually poor, because what we called working class in 1960's Tucson was mostly poor everywhere else.
And TUSD was about the same. Only Sunnyside was hispanic, and the scene of most of the school violence.
It's really the outgrowth of an invasion from the country next door.
Either that gets reversed, or we end up with Civil War II.
