I can prove Palin is not pro-life, using a whole lot less words than this piece.

Her position, like Gerald R. Ford, John McCain, and Ron Paul before her, is that abortion is up to the states to decide.

If this is true then the supreme right, the right to live, is alienable instead of unalienable. The principles of our nation’s charter, the Declaration of Independence, are negated. Our rights are subject to the whims of men, instead of being only subject to God, the Giver of those rights.

Try that “logic” using any other unalienable right. If a politician said that it was up to the states to decide whether you could keep and bear arms, would you call them “pro-Second Amendment”?

If a politician said that it was up to the states to decide whether you could speak freely, publish at will, petition government for redress of grievances, or worship as you please, would you call them “pro-First Amendment”?

And so on with any of our God-given, unalienable rights...

"Her position, like Gerald R. Ford, John McCain, and Ron Paul before her, is that abortion is up to the states to decide."

What's wrong with that?

For the first 200 years of this nation's existence that's the way it was. And, that's the way it is now for MURDER, states decide their own laws and undertake their own prosecutions.

It was Roe that changed that and enshrined a Federal "Right to Privacy" that ostensibly covered abortion.

If you think Palin would ever sign a bill as a governor to outlaw abortion...or, a bill as President...you will be sorely disappointed.

While she would not abort, she would not deny another woman that option under all circumstances.

She's a 10th Amendment Federalist.

Sounds like a good way to save lives until a Prolife Amendment is added to the Constitution.

"I can prove Palin is not pro-life"

I don't see how you have since it the best way to stop many abortions and Palin knows that.

If Roe v Wade was overturned today many many lives would be saved by prolife state legislation restricting abortion.

Constitutionally, Abortion should be treated the same way other types of homicide are decided: by the States.

(I’m still waiting for an apology, by the way.)
