Great article. But I beg to differ. The ideological trends found in philosophy and art are inexorably manifested in every area of culture. That includes politics. But I don't think Obama has quite reached the point of the Dadaist. He still has the anarcho/utopian belief that if he destroys the current order that something better will rise up to take its place. If he was a true Dadaist, he would simply destroy for the sake of destroying, assuming there is no meaning or purpose anyway, so what the Hell. Life is irrational and absurd, so do whatever you want.
The Islamic terrorist believes destruction and chaos will bring about the world-wide reign of Islam. He seeks to impose an arbitrary rules by which individuals can prove themselves worthy to live. The communist/green/socialist/progressivist terrorist believes that destruction and chaos will bring about some magical antithesis to what they perceive as the injustice of the current world order.
Obama is likely somewhere in that latter fold, and his efforts can be perceived as a kind of institutional terrorism. Destroy the capitalist and neo-colonialist order and magically the world will be a better place where everyone shares and shares alike, all the children have shoes and food, everyone has shelter and all of us live as one. But they also intend to impose an equally arbitrary set of rules through which individuals can be adjudged worthy to live. Law is substituted for life and love, and the lie of tolerance (currently called political correctness) is substituted for genuine grace.
History has demonstrated time and time again, the end of that way is quite literally Hell on earth. And yes, it can happen here.
That normalcy bias is a killer mental defect.
