Nice to see you again, Roger. Nicely written as always, though I don’t agree with all of it. You’re going to get flamed, of course, but you’ve always handled that well.
Don your asbestos suit, Roger. Some on this site won’t brook any criticism of Saint Ronnie.
a gay for Obama. How fitting
Mitt Romney (code-name: Chameleon)
He will be the nominee...
The GOP won the women’s vote in 2010.
Lots of references made to the 2008 election. No mention of the 2010 "shellacking" of the Dems that was of historic proportions and gained control back of the House from the Dems. It was a watershed event similar to the Dem takeover of Congress in the 2006 midterms, which foreshadowed the huge Dem victory in 2008.
In 2008, women helped deliver the presidency to Mr. Obama, voting for the Democrat 56 percent to 43 percent over Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican. Men split their votes between the two candidates almost evenly.
2012 will be one of the most vicious and polarizing elections in our history. Obama will pull the race, ethnic, and gender cards. He will have huge amounts of money. But ultimately, the economy will be the decisive factor.
The more his dementia set in the more liberal he got.
I forget where I heard it, but someone (maybe Bernie Goldberg) commented that people remain supportive of Obama because of superficial reasons like his smile. There are too many people who judge a Presidential election as if it is American Idol. They aren’t judging policies and have minimal depth when they vote.
I am afraid that no matter how you try you will not be able to defeat President Reagan in any election.
Repost this article in 2013.
Personally, I wouldn’t bet a nickel on Obama.
Obama can be beaten, but it may take more than one conservative candidate to do it. I am so ready for conservative wannabees and declared candidates to get on the field bringing their Trump mouth, Ryan brain, Christie precision, Palin energy, Cain real time experience and take it all to Obama. We need these egos to get on, get off or get out, and soon. Early matters.
Dick Morris capsulized what I also believe; the vagueness in our conservative tier of candidates, and the coyness of the wannabees is throwing the early energy to Romney!
I’m sorry R.FGay but most Americans now agree that a chimp on roller skates would make a better president than Obama. The fact the media doesn’t report it changes nothing.
In other words, just another DUmocrat pushing a defeatist agenda:
Lots of good points here, maybe it will get back to Sarah. But strangely I haven’t seen her ever pack up with the feminists to get their votes as she clearly doesn’t align herself with them. She already demonstrates huge respect for the family, promotes her husband as a strong leader she goes to for guidance, and even enjoys participating male sports, which has won millions of men.
However, we also know, that the gender of registered voters favors on the female side. And I to have been worried when I see so many MEOW’s from conservative women. And I keep hoping they will overcome their fear of her losing the election because of the misogynic desperation of the MSM.
Actually I have been doing everything I can, when encountering these ladies is to get them to concentrate on her clear record of successes in Alaska, and especially pointing our her proclivity for pushing corrupt politicians toward the jailhouse.
AND, I point out the clear record that before McCain picked Sarah Palin in 2008, he could barely garner a ho hum in the polls. But within three weeks of Palin’s arrival on the scene they were polling over Obama by 3% and their campaign contributions had almost doubled overnight. So she was already winning once, until McCain dropped everything and rushed back to log in full support for the TARP bill, which the many of us were wanting to fail. The democrats clearly trapped him in that gig.
If we want Sarah Palin, that’s what we’re going to have to do. Is get out among the masses, point to her resume, and what actually happened in the 2008 election.
Not worth the time to respond. If Republicans nominate a conservative, he/she will win big. If they nominate a rino, it’s iffy. The question will become whether we want to punish republicans or the country more. There is no way to predict anything at this point, and those who try are to be avoided. Gravitate to those who fight, not those who sit back and ponder.
Mr. Gay - in the future, please post your material in our bloggers forum.
Thanks,
