(CNSNews.com) – A group of radical clerics in Pakistan wants the country’s Supreme Court to declare certain passages in the Bible blasphemous – because they depict as flawed certain biblical characters whom Muslims regard as Islamic prophets.
If the court fails to do so, they said, then lawyers will submit an application for the Bible to be formally banned in Pakistan.
The campaign, announced by the clerics at a Lahore mosque and reported Tuesday in the Karachi daily The News and the Urdu-language Roznama Islam, is the latest attempt by radicals to use the country’s blasphemy laws to shield Islam from perceived insults.

Banning Bibles. Like socialism, that idea has always worked so well wherever it’s been tried.

How can something that predates Islam be blasphemous to Islam?
At times I wish our American leadership had the brass to ban the Koran. But then our Library system would immediately move the bloody Koran to the top of the banned books list and the Leftist educators would insist upon the Koran being taught to every University student as a matter of academic freedom of course.But you are so right Banning Bibles like socialism works well wherever tried until the leaders recognize they cannot destroy the Bible -Banning it only makes it the more dear to those seeking salvation.
First of all islam is the fake relighion just like fake prophet mohammad he was rapist and there is no link between Jesus and fake prophet mohammad. islam teaches terrorism, rape, war, killing innocent people and force to become muslim and accept islam. There is alot of more things have to be said but I don’t have time to explain but whatever I said all r truth and that is the definition of islam. I appeal to all Christians of the world that stay away from muslims because there is a satan hide behind their faces just like mohammad was, thank u. in general, you are correct about banning.
however, modern Germany has banned “Mein Kampf”,
and that seems to be working fairly well.
and the fact is, that Islam, by definition, is seditious.
it does NOT recognize the legitimacy of any government not based on Sharia law.
so, whether it works or not, a book that demands otherthrow of our Constitution, SHOULD be banned.

they claim the Bible has lies, and is insulting to their Prophets. (in some ways, it is very similar to Mormons, who claim that the Scripture was “corrupted”. Interestingly, there are other similarities. both have Prophets, and permitted polygamy, and much more.).
so, they object to the blasphemy about their Prophets. even though it was written earlier, the “truth” is now in the Quran. So they wish the earlier “lies” to be destroyed.
and i agree with larryhomes. Islam is not a man-made religion. The Sira, is MUCH more important to read than the Quran, if you really want to understand Islam.
...if you read the Sira, and the ahadith, all becomes very clear, for many specific reasons. here’s 2:
1) the Bible predicts false prophets, and says Satan can appear as a beautiful spirit of light (angel).
We all know, the FIRST thing a messenger angel ALWAYS does,
is reassure the human, saying “DO NOT BE AFRAID”.
The beautiful spirit that appeared in the cave to Muhammad (pbuh), TERRIFIED him. and tried to CHOKE him. This is the words of Muhammad (pbuh) himself !
2) Islam is designed specifically as Satan would.
a) Psalms speaks of how Satan hates music. Islam forbids music.
b) both old and new testaments, speak of the SACRAMENT of Marriage. that even God will not break that.
...it doesn’t exist in Islam. and women are reduced to property.
...also, Mohammad(pbuh), OWED black slaves. he had sex with a captive woman, after he had her husband killed. he had sex with a 9 year old girl, when he was age 53.
(and this is not “anti-muslim propaganda”.
