but I still fear she can’t beat The One. The very same people that ushered in the new Republican majority in the House and almost captured the Senate would support Sarah Palin, no doubt in my mind.

I think she can win. Really now, can we do any worse than Obama? (No way saying that Palin would be worse at all.)
I think Palin (and Trump for that matter) bring dynamic energy and zeal to the party. The Republican line-up sorely lacks in that right now.
