this is the first time I’ve heard Huma described as Indian-Pakistani...Other reports have listed her as Saudi muslim

And why trust a politician who cannot keep his marriage vows to his wife, to keep his oath to protect the best interests of the anonymous public?

Character counts.

Has Weiner voted to censure any other congressman for immoral behavior?

(from Wiki)
Abedin was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her father was of Indian descent and was an Iranian scholar who died when she was 17 years old, and her Pakistani born mother is a professor in Saudi Arabia.[1] At the age of two, her family relocated to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Abedin returned to the United States to attend George Washington University.

Huma was born in Kalamazoo. Her dad was ethnically Indian but had been an Iranian National before migrating to Michigan with her mother. Her mother was a Pakistani national prior to migrating to Michigan. Her father died when she was young. When she was 2, her mother immigrated to Saudi Arabia and was a professor there — Huma went along. When Huma was ready for college (doubtless in-state tuition etc) she came back to the US and went to college and then to an intership in the Clinton administration. From there to Hillary’s campaign.

Her mother has been a muslim studies professor elsewhere and on all sorts of action committees etcetera since her stint as a professor in Saudi Arabia.
