Chris Matthews doubted Sarah Palin’s ability to be elected President, just days after doubting the chances of any other Republican from stopping her from claiming the Republican nomination. However, one of Palin’s harshest critics, Andrew Sullivan, warned Matthews that she could in fact go all the way. Sullivan listed some possible scenarios where Palin could realistically be elected and Matthews concluded only an “Armageddon moment” could make it possible.
Matthews thought she might have traction as the “angry candidate,” yet Sullivan was convinced Palin could be the “principled candidate,” in that she could argue she’s the only one effectively representing the grassroots conservative movement. Since Matthews occasionally admits that he wants more exciting candidates on the Republican side to enter the race, he jokingly asked Sullivan whether he was secretly trying to encourage Palin to pull the trigger and run. Yet Sullivan wasn’t laughing and responded:
“I’m too terrified for the country to do such a thing. But I don’t, I do think Washington has misread her, underestimated her, and doesn’t see the cunning there.”
Palin certainly has sent her critics into overdrive with the simple announcement of a bus tour. If and when the day arrives where she actually announces she will run for President, it seems likely she’ll need to be ready for an onslaught of criticism from every corner.

I don’t think Andrew Sullivan just recently woke up with the possibility of Palin presidency. He has been one of her harshest critics of her precisely because he saw the possibility. This is why he works hard very hard to destroy her to prevent it from happening.
Poor Andrew Sullivan..that full blown AIDS has affected the few brain cells he has left..I almost feel pity for him, then I remember, he is a mega douche bag

I don’t think they’ll ever get it enough to understand.. way too far gone, but if it goes like most of us here think it will, deer in the headlights is just for starters. I’ve even heard people say they’d leave the country if she was elected. I relish the idea of holding them to their word.
I'm terrified that Obama will get elected again as I think most people are, It is funny that Palin has gone from being dumb to very cunning. The next 18 months is going to be really something to experience.
I really think Sarah would be a great candidate and president. The media and dems have been brutal on her. My hope is many nonthinking Americans have not listened to the media and shut her out completely.
We have to get Obama out of there.
