The news report from a couple days ago said that the plane crashed with the nose up at 15 degrees. The procedure to fix a stall is to, counter-intuitively, push the nose down so that air will catch the wings and defeat the stall so the pilots can regain control. The pilot did the opposite by keeping the nose up and the plane kept falling.
I think that plane crash, in Buffalo, a few years back was the result of the same type of pilot error.
