I live on a beach, on Cebu, two hours south of Cebu City, in the Philippines. I am now 66, but into my second life, as
I am the proud father of a 4 month old baby boy.
Yes, Pawleys is a great island, with little to no commercial
operations.
We became good friends with a family that owned a small inn.
The husband of the owner was the lawyer for the governor of SC.
in the late 80s or early 90s, fire destroyed the main building and dinning room, and afterwards, hurricanes pretty much finished it off.

Each year they have videos of the annual 4th of July parade, and they also have a web cam that overlooks the beach.
My daughter, now 28, rode her bike in the parades when she was about five.
That is so cool. Congrats on the second family. I think a lot of people have spent time in Phillipines, from my area.
My son wants to go to Panama, but I don’t trust their government, as many Americans were promised citizenship, and they reniged.
