SCOTTSDALE - Is this Sarah Palin checking out her new Scottsdale home? Our cameras captured this moment on Saturday. It looks like her, but we haven't been able to confirm it.
Still, rumors continue to swirl that Sarah Palin is Arizona's newest resident.
The political website The Huffington Post saw our video and they seem to be sure it's her -- and just today -- sources tell the New York Times Sarah Palin is seriously considering a run for president, and she could base her campaign from here in Arizona.
National news outlets are saying she bought that $1.7 million home, and what she plans do with it is what has everyone speculating.
Our reporter saw a black SUV with Alaska plates at that home on Sunday, and a woman with a ponytail and wearing a baseball hat was shot from far away.
It's not irrefutable that it's Palin -- you be the judge. Some media outlets say it is. Our crew outside the home wasn't sure -- and the woman did briefly acknowledge the camera.
Now the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Politico have all confirmed via anonymous sources that Palin did in fact buy this $1.7 million 8,000 square foot Scottsdale home and is gearing up for a presidential campaign.
"It'll be fun to have something going on in the neighborhood. We got used to it last time around [referring to McCain's presidential bid]," says political analyst Mike O'Neill.
O'Neill doesn't believe the hype. Maybe Sarah Palin is simply a high profile snowbird and even at $1.7 million, homes like this in Arizona are still considered a bargain.
"You can be a seasonal resident. You can work out of here. You can take planes out of here. You can get to New York more quickly than you can get from Alaska. This can be one of her bases of operation and to me that is more likely," he says.
And to add to all the Palin speculation... FOX 10's Rick D'amico was approached by a worker at Wal-Mart at Tatum and Bell Road, about 12 miles from that new house.
"One of them says hey Sarah Palin was just in here buying lawn furniture," Rick said on-air.
So maybe she is going to run a campaign out of Arizona, or maybe she just wants to escape those brutal Alaska winters.
Either way she has everyone guessing and talking, and is once again getting a ton of publicity.
Didn’t look like her to me...
I'm not so sure. Todd seems like that sort of guy. Maybe one of the kids drove it. They did get their RV down here and decked out for the weekend. It takes 64 hours for the trip, 3600 miles. Good little trip before jumping into an election.

photos of the house
Would someone buy a house they never seen?
There was another tv station that took pictures and you could clearly see Todd Palin face and he was walking around on the property with most likely Sarah in a baseball cap and shades and apparently she was seen shopping in Target around the area as well
Oh yes. Use to be common in AZ. Of course their is always a clause in the contract, approval upon buyers inspection.
She shops at Walmart and Target, just like the rest of us.
I know this for a fact. She has been seen by locals.
I tell my customers that have a little money to never shop at home depot in regards to landscaping materials, lawn furniture, lights and most everything else that will show.
She knows to never stray into Pima County right?
Pima County Deputy’s Association members regularly kill Americans just for practice there.
Hopefully her bodyguards will brief her.
I’m sure they either had the car shipped down or paid someone to drive it down for them. Then they took a private plane.
Yep, so buy in late May, 3 months after the brutal winter is over.
