And I don’t think we can survive as a nation another 4 years of his 360 degree assault on freedom.

I concur with you on your sentiments, as far as the U.S. surviving any downward swing spiritually, culturally, or materially. I don't think it's going to happen, I think the U.S. will become more like the Europe. Eventually Christians with money or common sense will decide to John Galt on this nation, I mean we really aren't a Christian nation anymore are we. United States became a great Christian Nation at it's beginning because a few individuals didn't like their present government and John Galted to the Barron unknown lands of America. Personally I could see China becoming the great land that many Christians might John Galt too.

I’m not sure there is or ever was such a thing as a “Christian” nation. No question however that Christians and a Christian worldview were totally dominant in our early days.

Back then the “salt” of the church had not lost its “savor”. Was it pure or perfect? No, there was corruption then, as always. But there were enough holy, righteous, humble, godly praying Christians everywhere so that the whole country was not just influenced by them, but held to their values and views.

But God does, in His own sovereign will, chose to bring revival at times of His choice. It may only be in the hearts of a few - those Revelation calls “overcomers”. It may be among many. We never know. We can certainly pray it will be many. But first we must humble ourselves.

America’s (Americans) greatest sin is our pride. “Pride cometh before a fall.”

Note: If one thinks he/she is an “overcomer”, that proves that they are not. A true overcomer will have the attitude of Luke 17:10 - “So you too, when you do ALL the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’ “

This attitude and perspective is absent in the vast majority of Christians in our nation today. That’s why we must begin - and II Chron. 7:14 begins with: Humble yourselves.......
