I like Morris and sometimes he has good insights, but tonight on Ted Baxter's show he was peddling this poll and it just didn't add up. I never knew him to do polling before so I haven't any way of knowing the accuracy of his stuff. On the show he was saying Romney was a lock and Gingrich was going to be second in the running. This is the opposite of Zogby today.

The surprised fall in the Zogby polls this week is Newt Gingrich. He has flamed out quickly and fallen to the bottom of the pack with 3% among likely Republican primary voters. That’s down more than 50% from his last poll showing. Pollster John Zogby has indicated in discussion about the poll that it would be nearly impossible for Newt Gingrich to make a comeback. Gingrich was tied with Rick Santorum at 3%, and ahead of only Fred Karger, John Huntsman Jr., and Gary Johnson. Gingrich also had the highest unfavorable number with 17% of Republicans saying they would never vote for Newt.

This assessment seems more realistic considering the disaster this toad is having just starting the campaign.

On the other hand Gallup last week came out with a poll that was adjusted for Huckabee and Trump being not in the mix and here were the results of the top 3:

Romney 20%

Palin 18%

Gingrich 11%

Toe sucker Morris has a long track record of always being wrong. For example, he swore up and down that Hillary would beat Obama in the Primaries then he guaranteed McCain would beat Obama in the general. I can't understand why he is still given time on any programs.

His polling said gore would win... he was in England at the time but he made the proclamation and he was wrong... morris is almost always wrong... check our archives... if morris says one thing... it is ALMOST a sure bet on the other.

I actually received a robo-poll-call from Dick Morris yesterday. Once the Morris' pre-recorded portion of the message finished playing, a female picked up and asked who I was considering a viable candidate for the republican party. I told the woman, "without question, I hope to see LTC. Allen West, Florida Representative from Broward County." She responded "we are hearing that name a lot recently". Then the robo-function was reactivated to request a donation. I do not make political contributions, but I offered my time should Allen West change his mind and choose to run. Either she gave me a blanket neutral confirmation to my selection or her response contradicts the results posted above.

My theory is he has good data / research and then blows it on his conclusion which should be based on the data. The conclusion is almost always wrong. Which maybe by design, then he is not pinned down as a uber expert like Barone, but he does well being on TV, the Rubber Chicken Diner speaking circuit, and all the other gigs he has. Maybe this win-lose model he has is real good for cash flow.....
