EXCLUSIVE: Mother of Steve Tyler's aborted child breaks 3-decade silence - is now pro-life!

When Julia Holcomb was sixteen she and a friend contrived to meet - and seduce - Steve Tyler, the frontman of the multi-platinum-selling band Aerosmith, and now co-host of American Idol.

Holcomb’s gambit was more successful than she could have imagined. She and Tyler met backstage after an Aerosmith show, and what followed was a passionate and drug-fuelled three-year relationship that nearly culminated in marriage, even though Holcomb was a full decade younger than the rock star. But the affair eventually spun out of control and ended explosively after Holcomb was pressured into aborting Tyler’s unborn child. The iconic photo showing Julia Holcomb and Steve Tyler together.

Until now the few known details about the relationship have come from Tyler and his band mates, as found in the band’s memoirs, Walk This Way, or Tyler’s recent autobiography, Does the Noise in my Head Bother You?

For her part, Holcomb has conscientiously maintained a several decades-long silence, leaving many wondering what ever became of her. The last public word about her fate appears to have come from one of Tyler’s subsequent girlfriends, who spoke of “suicidal phone calls” from Holcomb to Tyler while he was on tour. But now she has broken her silence, in a brief 5,000-word memoir published by LifeSiteNews.com in cooperation with Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries, a ministry for post-abortion healing.

Abortion is a lie that has deceived men and women, but it is the young, who are the primary procurers of abortion who pay the price.

I will not lay all the blame at the feet of men. Women who exalt abortion as the only right that gives women true freedom have contributed mightily to the killing fields of abortion mills.

The sad truth is that when a woman becomes pregnant, she and she alone can choose. I am for empowering these young women to choose life for themselves and their babies and that means supporting that choice as well as encouraging them to value themselves more so that they are not easily manipulated into sex and then into an abortion when the inevitable pregnancy occurs.

I would only add that the Hollywood feminism is nothing more than the old feminism with in a pretty package.

The abortion lie has deep roots in the feminist community and the current crop of Hollywood idiots are only the latest “useful idiots” to defend the lie.

First, I never said ALL the blame is the man's. A woman is not an infant, nor mentally defective, nor morally paralyzed.

The women who stand at the forefront of abortion ("exhault") are being paid off by progressives, and the most powerful progressives are billionaire men. PP is a political laundry service for the progressives.

Abortion is first and foremost a convenience for men. That's the big irony of it as a "feminist" issue.

Sorry, I do not believe that women need men to push them to preach abortion to other women.

We have fallen for the lie and so have men. Both are culpable.

“... if all the women who had an abortion felt remorse and spoke out...”

I agree. However, the women don’t realize at the time that they are certainly boxed in. If they had an abortion and later regret it, I am sure they feel people/family will judge them so harshly that it could ruin them. The guilt that some feel must be overwhelming. What I especially applaud with this story is the fact that it really showed the reader how manipulated/trapped she felt at the time.
